Welcome to the Laserson Lab at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai!
What do we do?
We build assays and software for genomics and immunology that are higher-throughput, higher-dimensional, and higher-resolution.
How do we do it?
Our assays take advantage of next-generation DNA sequencing, large-scale DNA synthesis, and single-cell methods. Our software is built using the Hadoop stack for big data scalability along with industry best-practices for open source software.
Why do we do it?
The life sciences are becoming more data-intensive and medicine is becoming more personalized. We're building tools that will help the community generate and understand larger amounts of higher-quality data, with the goal of pushing forward research programs like cancer immunotherapy and personalized vaccines.
